TOC Concert Hall is a nonprofit event venue located in Portland's beloved historic landmark, The Old Church, saved from demolition by community activists and volunteers in 1967 and built in 1882. The devoted staff and supporters of TOC continue to preserve and celebrate the iconic beauty of The Old Church while presenting diverse performances and events that reflect and enhance the cultural life of our community. Our building's natural acoustics and intimate atmosphere bring artists and audiences together through profound shared experiences.
We are committed to being a community gathering place open to all. Diversity, equity, belonging and inclusion are central values as we strive to foster an inspired and creative community focusing on a diverse array of accessible community cultural events.
Our TOC Presents concerts are a mix of musical performances, including rare opportunities to see groundbreaking national and international artists, in an intimate setting. We also produce and host free Summer Concerts and monthly Lunchtime Concerts, community social justice conversations (through WE CAN LISTEN), and ambient music concerts during new and full moons. See Moon Series.
Volunteers and guests in our house are encouraged to bring suggestions or concerns to our attention. Email staff@tocportland.org or leave us a note in one of our suggestion boxes.
TOC humbly acknowledges that the Portland metropolitan area rests on the traditional village sites of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin Kalapuya, Molalla and many other Tribes who made their homes along the Columbia (Wimahl) and Willamette (Whilamut) rivers and continue to live in this region today. As the First People of this land, we thank them for their hospitality. We are grateful to work and present in this community.
